Bike Night Essentials: What I Actually Pack
Bike nights are my favorite nights. Good bikes, good people, and an excuse to put together an outfit that still looks cute under a helmet.
Here is what actually comes with me:
My helmet — full-face, always. Cute does not matter if your head is not protected. Mine has a pink visor and I love her.
Leather jacket — the one that fits like it was made for me. (It basically was. I tried on twelve.)
Boots with grip — learned this one the hard way. Cute boots with zero grip plus gas station pavement equals me doing the splits in front of everybody. Never again.
Lip gloss — yes, really. The helmet comes off eventually and a girl likes to look alive in photos.
Hair ties. Plural. Blonde plus wind equals a bird’s nest by mile ten. I bring spares and I share them. The boys pretend they do not need one and then they ask.
Phone mount and a charger — for the group pics and the “wish you were here” texts.
That is it. No forty-pound backpack, no overpacking. Roll in, look cute, ride safe, steal a few fries. See you out there. 🌹
